--HOW TO BOOK--
1. Find your property:
When you have found a property that has your interest you submit a request for availability. This form is located in the bottom of each apartment detail page.
2. Reservation:
We will then check with the owners to verify the availability and answer you within 24 hours (often sooner). If the apartment is available and you wish to book it, we will send you our Rental Agreement that you are asked to sign and fax back to us within 48 hours.
3. Initial payment:
The next step in order to reserve the apartment is to pay the reservation deposit which is 50% of the total rent. When payment is completed, the apartment is reserved for you. If you are booking an apartment within 30 days before your arrival, we require the full value of your rental to be paid in advance.
In some cases the initial payment may vary. This will be stated in the contract.
4. Final payment:
The payment for of the remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the first day of occupancy. If you are booking an apartment within 30 days before your arrival, we require the full value of your rental to be paid in advance.
Security deposit:
For weekly rentals the amount normally averages 600 EUROS. The exact amount will be specified in the Rental Agreement. This amount is fully refundable less reserves for any damage, within a week of your departure. We have almost never had to withhold anyone's deposit and we have never had a dispute.
--HOW PAYMENT IS MADE--
We accept the following means of payment:
Wire transfer (add 15 euros to cover for banking fees)
Credit card (add 4% to cover for banking fees). Visa or Mastercard.
--AGENCY FEES--
Short term rentals:
For short term rentals prices on this website include agency fees.
Long term rentals:
For rentals of more than 40 nights the following table shows our agency fees.
For this type of rentals, the agency fee is due together with the initial
reservation payment:
From 40 nights to 3 months..............1/2 month's rent.
From 3 months to 6 months........ 75% of 1 month's rent.
From 6 months to 9 months ........ 1 month rent.
From 9 months to 12 months ........ 12% the total rental period.
--UTILITY CHARGES--
Short term rentals:
For short term rentals up to 1 month the prices are all inclusive: telephone
for local calls, gas and electricity, and in some cases broadband Internet.
There is a standard cleaning fee to be added to the total rental. Depending
on the size of the apartment the cleaning fee varies between 40-100 EUROS.
If you plan on calling mobiles phones or outside of Paris you will need either
a prepaid telephone card or a telephone operator credit card. In addition
to lines being restricted, some owners have opted to place an unrestricted
line on the telephone but you will need to buy a card from France Telecom
(sold at any tobacco store)..
Long term rentals:
For mid-to long term rentals of 1 month or more, telephone and electricity/gas
is not included. You will pay every month the balance for your telephone to
the owner. For electricity and gas consumption, a reading of the meter is
taken from the time of first day of tenancy and at departure. You are required
to pay this directly o the owner. You will pay only for the kilowatt hours
consumed during your stay + 19.6% VAT (French sales tax).

--CANCELLATION--
Sometimes an unplanned event can alter your travel plans. We advice you to take an insurance that covers for any unforeseen events.
Reservation deposit:
The reservation deposit is non-refundable. This amount is derived by the apartment
chosen (see contract for specified amount). If tenant cancels more
than 30 days before 1st day of occupancy, via fax or email only, the deposit
can be transferred to a future booking for the same apartment within one year
from the signature of contract.
Remaining balance:
If tenant cancels less than 30 days before 1st day of occupancy, via fax or
email only, Paris Apartment Tours, Inc. shall refund the remaining balance.
The reservation deposit will not be refunded. In addition there is a one time
cancellation charge of 80 euros that will be subtracted from the refund.
If tenant cancels less than 15 days before 1st day of occupancy there are
no refunds.
--ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE--
A representative from Paris Apartment Tours, will always be at the apartment upon your arrival. Check-in time is during normal working hours, but in the unlikely case where customers have not checked out before noon, the check-in can be made anywhere between 2pm – 7 pm,.
To plan ahead we ask you to provide us with your arrival details, as soon as you have them, and to call us when you arrive in Paris.
Check-out is on the last day of your tenancy generally at 10 am.
